Be Very, Very Careful…
I’m a little scared. I have stumbled across the fact that there is now out there a sort of crack cocaine in cake and cream form; you know, makes you feel really, really good but is horrifically addictive and bad for you. This my friend is essentially what we are talking about with the new Oreo Cakesters. These little suckers are amazing and evil.
Just FYI, they don’t taste particularly like an Oreo, they have their own distinct thing going on. They are of course a send off from the old fashioned “Whoopies” which have recently made a come back in the culinary world.
They cost $3.50 for a box of 12 cakes and even if they cost $35.00 a box, that would be more than reasonable really. They are better than you can imagine.
Mark my words, some day soon there will be a special on National Geographic, dramatically narrated by Lisa Ling about the new addiction on the streets that is ruining young people’s lives at an alarming rate.
You have been warned.

I fell in love with these squishy cakey morsels of evil when Safeway was selling the box of 12 for ONE DOLLAR. That’s just not right at all. That’s drug dealer nonsense.

Twelve for A DOLLAR! Thank god that kind of seductive manipulation didn’t occur anywhere near me or you would have found me in a diabetic coma not far outside the Safeway in a small pool of my own drool.

I’ve been dying to try them since I saw them online but I don’t think they’re available in Singapore. Drats.

Hello,
I came across your site from Entrecard, and I just wanted to say that I love your blog design. Also, those Oreo Cakesters look amazing.

I’m glad you found me and so glad you love the designs! I was fairly nuts tweaking every aspect, color, detail to get it visually just so… Really I was beyond anal with it and thus really appreciate the positive feedback.
BTW: You MUST try the Cakesters…trust me.

Lis: BTW…Can’t remember the last time I heard/saw someone use the word “drats”?…I have officially decided it is totally charming and am going to find an excuse to use it in one of my posts.

I hate to be the “pusher” on the corner, but I gotta tell you, they will change your life.
